HELP John Saunders Live ( Bone Marrow Transplant)

**UPDATE**  Good News....John’s insurance company recently notified him that they would pay for the bulk of his transplant expenses....therefore we have lowered the goal to $100,000 which will be used for the things insurance does not cover like being out of work for possibly 6 to 12 months, home healthcare, travel expenses, continual payments to maintain insurance coverage, out of pocket insurance amounts etc.....


SUMMARY

My name is Chandler Rapson and I’m raising money for John Saunders.  John is not only one of my best friends for almost 20 years but also a family man with 2 wonderful children and a wife that depend on him.  John has suffered with Leukemia for as long as I’ve known him.  His actual condition is called “CML” (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia).  It’s a rare type of Leukemia and up until now has been successfully kept in a chronic but harmless phase.  Recently it progressed into what they call a “Blast Phase” which means the bone marrow is basically malfunctioning and producing excess white blood cancer cells and thereby not enough red blood cells and platelets.    John now needs a cure and that is a bone marrow transplant.  Fortunately, he has a donor match in his family but the procedure cost, family day-to-day needs and impact on his employment create an extremely difficult financial burden.
