Pearls for Patti

As many may know, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer with mets to her liver and bones this year. She had been doing chemo treatments and in may her scans looked amazing! All of the tumors showed significant shrinkage and we all felt so blessed! Unfortunately, this past scan in July showed that the tumors had all doubled back up in size in about 5 weeks. The doctors told her that if the chemo that she was on didn't work then nothing will, the cancer is just too aggressive. Mom was just accepted into a clinical trial at Roswell to try a different medication approach. Because it is a trial, a lot of the expenses are out of pocket and not covered by insurance.
