BOXING: AIBA-Sanctioned Canada vs Aruba

My name is Kyle Jordan, and I'm an amateur boxer currently competing within Ontario. I started competing in 2018 and I have progressed alot.
I have trained overseas, such as Philippines, and worked with many elite athletes (eg. Canada's Olympian Hopefuls). 

I have been selected to represent both Boxing Ontario and Boxing Canada for my next 2 international bouts, and I have fought internationally before 9 fights. With the overwhelming progress of how far I've gone, the opportunities ahead of me come with major sacrifices. Compared to many, I have been expanding much further and gaining better experiences outside of the country with these fights. I am currently associated under Kombat Arts and Valdez Strength&Performance. 

One of the major sacrificies are athletic funding, specifically travel cost, food, and provided housing or hotel. Funds are limited, and can only cover a small portion. This is crucial with international bouts, and this is why I am using this platform to reach out in aid to represent my country against Aruba. 

Its difficult to work many hours within jobs due to the number of sessions I train per day. I train 5-6x a week, utilizing 2-3 sessions a day. This can interfere with inputting hours at work. I currently have 2 jobs, one recently joined, but I have been away due to competitions. A lot of my expenses go towards dieting, transportation, and equipment. Sponsorship or corporate opportunities can only aid so much, but it's not sustainable for the amount of international bouts I will endure. 

As one of the young athletes in this sport, and rising up, me and my coach have decided to enter me for the cycle for 2024 Olympics. With each of these international bouts, I am gaining points, aswell as more opportunity to fight outside the country. As a born-Filipino, I want to cross represent where I am born/raised. Both Canada and Philippines.
