Boun for Mike (Mao) Chuop
Donation protected
To our sweet family and friends,
Our father, Mike (Mao) Chuop, has recently passed away. He was a great family man who treated his wife, (step)daughters, son and grandchildren like the kings and queens in his life. He was a musically talented man who can hear a beat, pick up any instrument and learn to play it instantly. Our most fond memory was gathering around him and the khim (traditional Cambodian instrument) and playing an American song from the radio. We are saddened but relieved that he has joined his beloved father in heaven and that his body no longer binds his vibrate, lively spirit.
He was very loved by his community. He made sure laughter was part of the memories you shared with him, and as such, we have a lot of family and friends who would love to be part of the ceremony. However; during this time of COVID, we ask that you respect our wishes to grieve in private. If you would like to ta-boun (to donate, give condolences), there is a GoFundMe account created. Any amount of support will help. Donations will go to his widow and children to help alleviate some of the financial burden. (Zelle or Venmo welcomed - please contact me directly for more information.) There is comfort in the power of prayer. Please share this post to continue the prayers for our father - the most loving, nurturing and in his eyes, most humorous person ever. His memory lives on within his family and friends as he watches over us. Any questions or concerns, please contact me.
