On October 12, 2016 Boston Police Officers Richard Cintolo and Matthew Morris were shot and critically wounded while on scene for a disturbance call in the East Boston section of the City. Heroic life saving actions by officers on scene enabled the officers with Boston EMS to be rushed to Mass General Hospital were their lives were saved. Additionally, the actions of a few on scene ended this horrific unwarranted attack on our officers.
Both Officers suffered terrible injuries that will take a substantial amount of rehabilitation to recover from. While some wounds are visible others are not and the BPRA will be there to help all those involved.
This "Boston's Finest Fund" is established on behalf of the Boston Police Relief Asociation to assist Officers Cintolo and Morris and their families. Since 1876 the BPRA has been helping to take care of the needs of injured and sick police officers and their families.
All Funds will be distributed to those involved.
