Boo's Emergency Veterinary Bill

Hi folks. My name is Sara and I am fundraising for my friend Mariah's dog Boo and his emergency vet bills. Last night someone broke into Mariah's house while she was out and committed a senseless act of violence and attacked Boo. Boo was stabbed multiple times. Boo was rushed to the emergency clinic.

Overnight the vets gave him multiple blouses to stabilize his blood pressure, gave him a blood transfusion so his red blood cells went from 17% to 30%, on x-ray they found a collapsed lung, tapped his chest to remove air from the thoracic cavity to try and re-inflate the lung, found a hole in the chest cavity that goes through. They had to place a chest tube and pack the wound. They were then able to explore the other wounds. there’s a wound on his lower abdomen that goes into the abdominal cavity, they placed a drain and are removing air from the chest and blood from the abdominal drain. There is a slow bleed somewhere and we need to travel Boo to PEI for him to continue treatment.

The last thing we want is for finances to be the deciding factor on whether or not Boo's vet care can continue. If you know Boo he is a joyful dog, he sings along to songs, he greets you at the door and he loves to play fetch. You know the joy he brings into the world and into Mariah's life.
