BookNet Fest 2019

Tax deductible
Hello Book Lovers!

At BookNet Fest, our mission is to unite all members of the book community, from creators to readers, with no restrictions due to platform, platform size, or most-read genre. Through panels, workshops, and networking, BookNet Fest seeks to equip attendees with the skills and resources needed to improve the quality of the content that sprouts up around books. Community is at the heart of all we do.  By supporting BookNet Fest (a 501(3)c non-profit organization) , you will be directly helping this mission.

The third year of the event will be taking place September 6-7th, 2019 in Orlando, FL. Since the creation of this event, we have ensured that diversity is at the heart and soul of our event. As such, our panelists come from a variety of backgrounds, races, sexualities, genders, and platform sizes. In 2018, we created a fund specifically for sponsoring diverse creators who otherwise would not be able to attend the event. Supporting BookNet Fest ensures that everyone has a voice in our community.

In our second year, we expanded to a 2 day event that included panels, workshops, and social activities. Throughout the two days at the 2019 event, we will be discussing important topics in our community such as diversity in publishing and the book community, writing (from beginning a manuscript to getting published), critically reviewing, fandom, reviewers' place in the book industry, and more. BookNet Fest is also at its core a networking event, bringing online friends, creators, and audiences together in one place.

This year we are expanding the event even more, with the continuation of last year's popular Meet and Greet, an addition of a much requested BookNet Fest Prom, and other social events and opportunities throughout the event that allow organic friendships and connections to be made with fellow book lovers.

Registration fees this year are going toward the cost of renting the convention space and audio/video costs, but we still have operational costs that aren't covered. We need to raise funds for:

- expanding the marginalized creators scholarship fund in order to sponsor even more creators
- signage to make navigating the venue easier for all attendees
- BookNet Fest Prom costs such as a photo booth, dance floor, lighting, and treats
- ensure that BookNet Fest can be maintained and expanded well into future years

We know that with your help, we can meet this goal.

BookNet Fest is a completely non-profit event. All money raised will be going exclusively to event costs.

If you support our continuing mission of uniting the online book community, giving a voice to those that haven't had one in the past, and bringing book lovers together to discuss all things books, please consider donating to BookNet Fest.

Thank you, and we hope to see you in Orlando for BookNet Fest!
