Bookery Bicycle

Last year Crystal and I built 9 Little Free Libraries, collected over 850 books through donations from friends at work, and donated them to the Brilliant Detroit http://brilliantdetroit.org  organization to help promote literacy in the Detroit Area

This year we want to go MOBILE !

 We want to bring Little Free Library books to local parks, parades, community events, and hopefully, to pediatric units in several Michigan hospitals!

Please help us spread the love of reading  and the giving of free books to children with limited access to local libraries. 

Our goal is to purchase the bike with donations, then we will match the price in the purchase of books :) We are also looking for suggestions for locations to take our Bookery Bicycle once it is finished. 

Books are little doorways into endless worlds of possibilities, and they help foster the imaginations of Earths future leaders....

And every child,
regardless of race,
socio-economic status,
location, 
level of health,
or level of literacy,
can benefit from access to high quality free books. 

I know this is an ambitious fundraiser. $3,200 is a LOT of money.  

But I like to think of books as little seeds that help plant the future forests of literacy in our children.
