Boo Bunny's Road to Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Hi everyone, meet Boo!  She was neglected and abandoned by her previous owners, but found by a family who lives near me. They were kind enough to bathe her once they realized she was caked in feces. I volunteered to house her and a couple vet visits later, I decided she is mine!

Boo has almost every issue a rabbit could have. She is emaciated, her back legs are weak, bumble feet, open wounds on her paws, she was completely matted around her butt and had to be shaved, teeth are overgrown, ocular discharge, ear mites, and an ear infection.

She is currently on pain meds, eye drops, ear drops, antibiotics, and probiotics. You might be wondering why would I put this rabbit through all this medication? For starters, she loves her pain meds and antibiotics. The only thing she fights me on is the ear drops.

I have had quality of life discussions with the vet and they think that Boo has a chance. In the week I've had her she has made HUGE improvements. She loves to eat and is very food motivated. We've watched her gain strength and become more mobile. Her paws have started to heal. She switched from being in survival mode to a sassy rabbit who demands treats and growls at her brush. She nudges for nose pets and loves when I scratch her back. Her eyes are more open and her grooming habits are improving. She is very spoiled.

At her next vet appointment we will be discussing the next step in her care. This will require her to be put under anesthesia for teeth trimming, ear flush, and possible x-ray.

I want to give Boo a fighting chance and I need your help. Her vet bills and medication have already cost me $900 and her expenses will likely continue to be more than the average rabbit. The quote for her next procedure is estimated at $800. I am hoping to raise enough money for this big expense because money is very tight after what I've spent so far.

I am so thankful for everyone who has followed her journey this past week and has checked in on us. She has a whole lot of love from all of you. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

If we raise more money than needed, the extra money will be donated to the Rabbit House Network in Billerica, MA. They are a great rabbit rescue and they offered to take in Boo if I felt her care would be too much.
