BONZO needs help

Hi, my name is Ilana, and I am fundraising for Bonzo.

Bonzo is the name I gave this unfortunate young dog when the emergency clinic asked me for a name.

You see, he is not mine, but he needed help, as he was lying in the road in torrential rain after being hit by a car. I delivered him to the clinic and put some money down for him to stabilize him and give him painkillers.

After some exams, they found no internal damage, but unfortunately, three broken legs. Euthanize him......?

I thought long and hard about this, but his prognosis is very good, as he is young, and I still hope to find the owner. He has no chip. But he looks like he was well cared for until recently. I live in rural Portugal, though; chances are, his owner will not come forward, as they cannot pay the medical bill. And unfortunately, nor can I, but I will do my best to get the money together!

Just the orthopedic surgery will cost €1600. Tonight is Bonzo's 2nd night in the emergency clinic's care, which will keep him pain-free until we decide to proceed with the surgery.
