Bono&Shadows been poisoned purposely vet help

We really thought we would be a family of 5 in may 2024 with bono and shadows little sibling being born, but unfortunately someone took a big brother away from our baby and they will never know how great he really was he would have been in love bringing a new addition through the front door, but instead some stranger has taken that away from us all those lovely memories and future exiting experiences to come and has took away a peaceful and exiting pregnancy for me and my partner and our first baby.

Some say “It’s just a dog”…..
I rescued him at 4 months from Cavan and I can’t tell you how long his first months were on this earth being abused, he had boiled water threw over him streight out of a kettle, had to watch his brothers being hung infront of him and much more I can’t go into detail…. I got him and he was so scared to trust again but we kept trying and he got their, I said to myself and to him your going to have the best life with me not a day will go by without cuddles love and treats of course. ❤️‍ I can’t explain to you how much he loved the water from a boy that was so scared of it when I first showed him a lake to a boy who jumped streight in before I could throw a stick in for him, we got him a forever friend for when we were working so that he never felt lonely … Shadow .. he didn’t want to know him at the start but became a big brother very quickly and taught shadow everything he needed to know from toilet training to being kind to barking at strangers of course ☺️ shadow had a short year with Bono but they meant to much to each other and had an unbreakable bond..

Monday night Bono started to feel sick he looked like he was trying to get sick but nothing was coming up until the 4th or 5th gag and he brought up a foamy substance with traces of blood through it, we brought him to the vets on Tuesday morning he was gave steroids and antibiotics, we then went home and their was no sign of the medication helping him we went back in at 7pm as he had no energy, stopped eating his food, and was so weak, once in the vets he looked 100% fine and improved tail still wagging etc, Wednesday morning- he was perfect all morning apart from hiding behind the sofa wheezing and coughing until 10am he went upstairs without me realising, I then went to look for him and he was laying on the top with his head upside down over the top step so something hit when he was sitting up I ran up distraught I tried CPR I didn’t want to let him go I kept trying, I got a bit of hope when he sighed but it was nothing only the air coming out of his stomach, shadow was right beside me nudging bonos ear to wake up I turned to shadow and said “I am so sorry” he was gone….

We then buried him… but realised we can’t do this he wasn’t buried long so we then brought him to Cavan pet crematorium and he got an amazing loving and heartfelt send off we felt more comfortable with this option and it’s not as expensive as you think, the men that looked after bono couldn’t do enough for us, now he is home with us not outside on his own.

Shadow started coughing Thursday evening he coughed once around 1pm then when we were at the crematorium shadow started violently coughing out of the blue and coughed up foamy blood, we had to say our final goodbyes to bono quicker than we would have liked to but we rushed to the amazing team at Erne veterinary and they couldn’t do enough for shadow overnight observations, X-ray, Blood tests, medicine and much more, we then got a phone call that night around 8pm that shadow had ruptured into his lungs but they will do everything they can but if it goes too far they can’t do anything.
We then went home and got advice to search the back garden to just double check, we were last in the garden ourselves Saturday doing bits and bobs and their was nothing to be worried about but Thursday night when we looked their was enough rat poison to kill 200+ dogs or more, our garden can be accessed by strangers unfortunately, but was a safe secure place for our dogs well so we thought, we rang police, rspca, solicitors, knocked on doors we went to newspapers because if it was a toddler that got it it would be a different case, we are waiting police to get back to us but could take a couple of weeks apparently…

Shadow is back home now but is not out of the woods he has a lot of fighting left to go, I just know his big brother is looking over him.

I am posting this because it’s that time of year again and the evil people are out in full force…. We will not rest until we get some sort of answers to why our bonos life was cut so short the biggest hearted dog and answers to why our 1 year old shadow had to loose his big brother he only got to share a short year with and for when we have to tell our first baby in may to why we were so heartbroken and grieving when we’re meant to be a family and enjoying a new addition coming in 2024, our family is completely ripped apart, I am currently writing this while cuddling my bono in an urn for the past 6hrs I will never forget him or forget how I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for that sweet black Labrador I got when I was 15 ❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍

I wanted to write this for awareness something so simple as going outside with your dogs, getting cameras or knowing the signs streight away and what’s happening could save someone’s fur baby

Feel free to like share everything to get my Bono to start saving lives I’ll make sure he will always have a purpose and an impact even when he’s not here physically

#justiceforbono

We didn’t want to ask for help but as shadows vet bills keep climbing for more medication to help his white blood sells fight the rat poison we are running out of means to pay and after cremating our late bono boy
