Bonnie's Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Hello, this my mom Bonnie Ripley, she was diagnosed Melonoma Rectal Stage IV cancer in March of 2016. We were told it is a rapid spreading cancer. Since the diagnosis over a year ago she gone thru IV immunotherapy, radiation, and needed to have a colostomy so the physician could try and remove the malignant area to try and stop the spreading of the cancer. After the receiving the colostomy and the attempted removal of the cancer her last pet scan showed it has spread to her lungs, liver and bones. Now, she has two options one is palliative care or IV Immunotherapy to hopefully slow the spreading of the cancer to extend her life. She would like to do the immunotherapy but it is costly. There is no more funding available or financial aid at this time for this type Melonoma rectal cancer. She needs to pay out of pocket for the first 4 treatments before her insurance will help pay. The first treatment alone is $5700 and approximately $150 for the next three. The $7500 will pay for those most of those treatments. The Physician informed her the sooner she starts treatment the better the chances are of giving her more time with her family and friends. Please share her story!
