The Boneyard OCR Compound is located one hour North/West of Edmonton, near Barrhead, Alberta. Over the past three years it has been providing a free training environment for youth ages twelve to twenty years to work together and establish friendships and confidence. The young athletes have had the opportunity to travel to different OCR races across Canada and the USA.
The compound was built thanks to a couple of not so sane land owners, the youth working together and with the assistance of a professional race series.
One of the key sponsors that has provided extensive support has fallen into a bad situation and must recall all the scaffolding that they had so generously provided. This leaves the Boneyard in a very bad position because the level and variety of obstacles that they will have left will be greatly diminished.
We have found a scaffolding supplier that can provide us with good condition/pre owned scaffolding and are hoping that establishing this fundraising option may assist with keeping the Boneyard at the level where we all can continue to enjoy.
If you cannot assist, we understand and greatly appreciate that you considered the possibility. The obstacle racing community has been absolutely amazing and no matter what happens we will do our best to keep the Boneyard OCR Compound operating to ensure the youth can continue to train, build confidence, team building skills and ensure the Boneyard is available for you to come and enjoy all that it has to offer.
