Bodhi's Battle Against Burkitts Lymphoma
"In an instant, your entire world can change right before your eyes. The rug ripped out from beneath your feet, and life as you knew it, forever changed. This is what just happened to us." - Shannon (Bodhi's Mom)
Early last week Bodhi was experiencing flu-like symptoms accompanied with a tremendous amount of pain in the stomach. After a couple of days of symptoms coming and going Shannon took him into Mammoth Pediatrics clinic to be seen, where they were then sent to the Mammoth ER. After a full day in the ER undergoing a spectrum of tests, a large, fist-sized mass was found in Bodhi’s abdomen. They were immediately sent to UCLA children’s hospital where he is now under the care of several teams of specialists.
Bodhi has been diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma. This is a fast-growing cancer that is rapidly fatal if left untreated. He has already been through many torturous days of tests, blood draws, biopsies and surgery. Many many tests and unknowns are ahead for Bodhi. As of today (February 13th), He is having his port placed, the first round of chemo put into his spine as well as bone marrow and lumbar biopsies.

"As we embark on the scariest, most enduring journey of our lives, I beg that everyone prays for Bodhi’s full recovery. This world needs his love and light. Life is precious. Our Loved ones, even more so. Treat them as such. ❤️ With all of my heart, thank you to all the staff in Mammoth who were so good to Bodhi and continue to check in and pray for him daily. I am grateful for you guys!" - Shannon (Bodhi's Mom)
Due to the rarity of this disease, it is of the utmost importance to Shannon to fund childhood cancer research and education. This is why she will be giving a large portion of funds raised to the best researchers and organizations she can find.
Let us help sweet Bodhi spread love, light, and awareness far and wide about this disease. With your support, Bodhi will beat this! Bodhi and his family are in for a long journey ahead and financials should be the last thing they have to take on. No one should ever have to endure this. Please, anything you can donate, even if just a share means the world to Bodhi's family and his supporters. You are appreciated by his family who has been by his side as this has unfolded.
Updates on Bodhi will be given here when we are able.
