Robert and Michelle's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Hello,
Robert (Bobby) Amick is a retired/disabled City of Punta Gorda Firefighter. Just before Christmas of 2016 his step son 15 year old Briant Cummings cut off his hand with a chop saw. The Doctors and Medical Professionals up at Tampa General were able to reattach the hand. Shortly after being released from the hospital after all the surgeries, his hand got an infection and had to go back in for more surgeries to remove the plates that was holding the hand and arm together. The infection has cleared and the long road of physical therapy and more surgeries of skin grafts and such is still to come. Now, with numerous trips back and forth to Tampa for follow ups and PT as well as more surgeries the medical bills are starting to come in and are starting to add up. On top of all of this the house that the family is renting the landlord just advised them that they are going to sell the house. With the large amount medical bills they are in a search for a place to rent and of course having to shell out a large sum of money to move in and for moving expenses. Robert has always been a giving person and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Robert is not the type of person to ask for help and is really hurting by being in the position that him and his large family is in. If you could please find it in your heart to help this wonderful family man get through this tough time, it would mean a lot to this family.
