Bobbie’s Medical Assistance Fund

3 months ago, Barbara Nix aka Bobbie was in a terrible accident. Bobbie and Chris had just gotten a new lawn mower and went to their church to cut grass. She was thrown off the mower and her right forearm was ran over by the blades. Thank God Chris was with her and reacted quickly. Her brachial artery and 2 of her main nerves (medial and ulnar) were ripped out of her arm. Only 35% of brachial artery injuries survive. If Chris had not been there to apply a tourniquet, she would not be with us today. Over the next 2 weeks, she underwent 9 surgeries to repair the damage. Unfortunately, the nerve damage was so extensive that it is not repairable. She goes next week, August 22nd, to one of her doctors in Atlanta to schedule an amputation of her hand. They have health insurance and the churches insurance policy helped with the deductible but she still has a long road of recovery ahead. They were a two income household which makes these past three months pretty stressful when you're not planning to be out of work. She has worked since before she could drive and she hopes to be able to go back to work once she gets used to a new hand. Until then, they are doing their best, praying and staying positive. If you would like to help them with a donation, I know it would be very appreciated.
