Bob & Diane's summer tragedies

On the evening of June 1st the basement dehumidifier malfunctioned.  The ensuing fire melted the copper water lines, flooding the basement.  By the time the Fire department arrived, the basement was burned and the house was smoke filled, and covered with black soot. Six weeks later, electricity and water restored, Bob and Diane were able to move back home.  That lasted until the next morning when the water main (street to house) was losing thousands of gallons into the street, due to a combination of old age and sudden pressure after being turned on.  

 The entire driveway and a major portion of the yard were dug up to get to and repair the water main. Now they need to recreate their driveway, then reseed and restore gardens. The huge evergreens which were compromised by eight feet trenches in the driveway and yard will most likely need to be removed. Insurance doesn’t cover the water main break and related damages.  Any donations will help Bob and Diane get back to normal as soon as possible.
