Life All Over- Incredible Moms

I have started a project that I am excited to share! I am passionate about interior design and am inspired by the courage of so many amazing women that give of themselves. This project will be a way to bring beauty and joy to the lives of some incredible women. These women have overcome the odds and devoted their lives to making a difference. I will redesign and redecorate one room in each of their homes. Please help me give them a sancturary where they can recharge and spend time for themselves and with their families. All donated funds will go directly to purchase supplies for the room redesign. The redesign work will be done by a group of women volunteers.

I would like to introduce you to these amazing women:

Meet Markay-
 In February of 2014 she had a stroke so severe, doctors said she would likely never walk or talk again. During the stroke, Markay had a near death experience. She felt what she describes as the "true love of Christ". The man that was walking with her throughout the experience told her that she could choose to stay with him but her work on earth was not yet done. So Markay chose to leave that peaceful place and return to us.

Determined to spread that same love she felt to others, Markay began the painful process of learning to walk, talk, read, get dressed and do the many everyday things she once took for granted. Although Markay still does not have use of her right arm and only partial use of her right leg, she is walking, talking and spreading love in the lives of everyone she meets.

Markay has an incredible wit and sense of humor. You cannot be around her without laughing and smiling. Her declaration in life is that no person will ever cross her path without the experience of complete love and kindness.

In addition to raising her eight children (three of whom are wheelchair bound and require 24/7 care) she is volunteering with the special needs children at her local elementary school.

Please help me redesign her bedroom so she and her husband Larry can have a serene retreat to connect and recharge.  

Meet Hilde-

Hilde is a fire cracker!  At only 5' 0" she is powerful beyond belief. As a survivor of domestic violence, Hilde now devotes her life and time to empowering other women who experience domestic violence and sexual assault.

As a result of the violence she suffered, Hilde sustained injuries so serious, she still deals with them today. Even with constant headaches and her body rejecting any food, Hilde still lectures and works daily to end domestic violence. Despite all the obstacles she has faced, Hilde continues to be a force of love and empowerement. 

Hip and fun, Hilde enjoys music, concerts, hiking and time with her family. Always ready to be there for the under dog, Hilde radiates love and acceptance for others.

Please donate and help me redesign Hilde's living room (currently full of teddy bears that she donates to children's organizations) to be a space where she and her family can hang out together.
