As you’ve likely seen over the past couple of days, Hurricane Irma has left a trail of devastation across much of Florida, particularly the Southern and Western parts of the State.
We have over 7,000 members in 240+ chapters across Florida, many of which are now dealing with the aftermath of the storm, including severe wind damage and flooding to their homes, businesses and communities. BNI has launched this fundraising initiative, BNI Cares: About Florida, to help BNI members most affected by Irma get back to business as quickly as possible in the days ahead.
Affected members will be asked to apply for a Back-to-Business Grant – our goal is that these grants will be specifically focused on helping BNI Members get their businesses back up and running. If you would like to provide financial support to our BNI Members in Florida, please join us in making a donation today. Any amount helps, and I know our members are thankful.
Several members across the U.S. have also reached out to us offering to donate products and services to help fellow members affected by Irma & Harvey. To aid this collaboration and support, we recently launched a Facebook Group, BNI Cares. We invite you to join this group, to provide encouragement when times are tough and also share how you can help fellow members in need!
As business leaders, BNI Members and Directors in areas impacted by disaster play a very important role in getting their communities back to normalcy. The BNI family is here to help them in any way we can.

Note: Impacted members in FL are applying for a Back-to-Business Grant; Collectively, with our Executive Directors in those regions, BNI Global will review each application and will be notifying members the week of October 2 if they will receive a grant. BNI's CFO, Michael Walchonski, will be set as the beneficiary to this account and will then wire grants to each member directly.
