Let’s do this!!! Eric and Shannon Reykdal are ready to donate their hair and raise money for WIGS FOR KIDS! Help them reach their goal!
Did you know that it takes 10-12 ponytails and over $800 to make just one wig?
That’s why, not only are they 'losing their locks', they also want to contribute money for the production of the wigs. Every dollar counts towards “helping children look themselves and live their lives!”.
Many, if not all of us, have been touched by cancer or another form of a serious illness in our lives. Eric’s motivation stems from the passing of his beloved wife Melissa. In her honour, he has not cut his hair in over 2 years in order to grow it long enough to donate to a child in need. In sisterly support of Eric and Melissa, Shannon wanted to do her part and hopes to inspire others to contribute what they can to this worthy cause.
WIGS FOR KIDS, is a private, non-profit organization relying solely on donations to make durable, custom hairpieces that look just as a child’s natural hair would. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for kids dealing with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses and to provide a free wig for every B.C. child who needs one.
