Running Faster for the Lions 2015

Last year I ran the Chicago Marathon. The goal wasn't to get a PR, or even get a better time than before, it was just to finish so I could raise money for Leo Catholic High School (www.leohigschool.org) Many of you know my dad is the president of Leo, as well as a proud alum, and the school has a great tradition of developing young men who become leaders in their community. With lots of help from wonderful friends, I was able to finish (though was awfully pokey) and raise more than my goal of $2,620 (a dollar per mile). We went way over the goal and raised $3,500 last year! :)
So this year I'm back to take on the Chicago Marathon on October 11 with two goals: less time, more money. It's not raise money for Leo faster this year, it's to get my TeamTurtle self going faster in the race this year. With the help of a great training team, led by Coach Brendan (www.coachbrendan.com) I think a faster time is definitely do-able. And with the help of the very generous people I am so lucky to know, I'm confident I can double last year's goal and raise $5,240 for Leo. Please consider helping me out in any way you can.
