Bluegrass Hymn's Record

I've always loved hymns.  Growing up in church and hearing them it was kind of normal and i guess i grew use to hearing them.  About 20 years ago worship music began to change in to what we call praise and worship or worship music.  The term music ministers stopped being used.  They became worship leaders.   Don't get me wrong,  all good things.  I love both of these styles of music.  The other morning i woke up to begin my day and God clearly spoke and said dont forget about the hymns.  The Truth's.  The Depth of these songs from the past.  They were wrote from hard times,  pain,  and also mountain tops as well.  So i went on my morning run as i always do and God kept developing His thoughts in my head and it went something...... do a hymns record bluegrass style. Both are your roots from your childhood.  So then i got back from my run and decided to make a facebook post and ask what everyones favorite hymn's were.  So only a few minutes after the post went out my cousin texted me and said, hey cuz i saw your post and was litereally on the way to work this morning and said jason should do a hymn's record.  Confirmation? Yes!  Not to mention the facebook response was overwhelming.  So i then gathered the top 20 and have started recording volume one of this project with more to come.  The first volume will include the top 10 songs.  As i record a song a artist to sing the hymn with me comes to mind.  I'll send out a text and ask, hey would you be up for singing a duet with me on a hymns record?  Some of my dear friends in christian music have gererously said YES they'd love to be a apart of this project.  These hymns will be duets with me featuring some of my favorite artist.  That's why i'm doing the kickstarter.  I want to be able to cover my dear friends who sing for God and for a  living.  Also a few guest musicains including the great Barry Bales from Alison Krauss and Union Station will be on it and many more.  I'm so thankful for all of you who have helped in the past with my projects.  I'm so excited about this one.  More than anything i've ever done for myself.  Its coming together so easily and i just know that's the Hand of God.  Again thank you for your time,  prayers and support in this.
