Governor Pritzker has ordered the shutdown of all Dine-In Restaurants and Bars in Illinois from March 17, 2020 through March 30, 2020 due to the Coronavid19 outbreak.
In the City of Blue Island, we have over 30 dine-in restaurant/bars that are being directly affected by Governor Pritzker’s mandatory closure.
This action will cause EXTREME hardship to the servers who work & live in Blue Island.
The minimum wage for servers is $5.25 per hour and that they rely HEAVILY on Tips to pay their living expenses.
I am asking for your help to try to minimize their loss. I will work with owners of these establishments to distribute any funds collected to help mitigate their losses through this shutdown.
