Bless The Donners

We are sending Erin and JC on a week-long vacation to Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun over the fourth week in July! This will give them a much needed break from ministry and the stresses of life and to recharge. They will be going alone, to an adult only resort. The boys will stay behind and will have some fun of their own!

We were originally going to see if we could raise enough money to pay the Vikings to win a Superbowl, but they said no amount of money could make that happen, so we decided on this instead!

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to explain WHY we are doing this. But the more I thought about it and the more people I talked to, I realized I don't need to explain why. You all know why. JC and Erin (and even their boys!) have blessed each of us in so many ways, often only known to you. So here is your chance to bless them.

The goal of this trip is to take care of everything, to make sure there is no additional burden to send them off. As such, we are raising money to fund:

 - The Resort (it is all inclusive!)
 - Airfare
 - Travel Costs And Spending Money
 - Babysitting For The Boys For The Duration Of The Trip
 - Fun Activities For The Boys While Their Parents Are Gone

All things considered, we have set a goal of $7,000 to make sure all the bases are covered. If we come in under budget or raise more than the goal, we will gift that to The Donners.

The other part that is VERY important is for everyone to leave a note for the Donners. Whether you can give financially or not, PLEASE go to www.blessthedonners.com and just write a note, whether two sentences or two pages, sharing encouragement or thankfulness for how they have blessed you. We will be making them into a scrapbook! Only JC and Erin will see the notes (and obviously the person making the scrapbook). You can also hand write a note and give it to myself or Jessica Foster.

I am all about accountability, and as such I have a couple people that are seriously helping me out to bring all of this together. I am keeping track of every penny received. If you have questions about any of that, please ask. :)
