Blessings for Baby Russell

This fundraiser is dedicated to Serenity and Matt in supporting Russell.

Serenity was admitted to the hospital on 9/7 just before 29 weeks gestation with severe preeclampsia. When the symptoms were no longer manageable, they decided to induce at 29 weeks for the safety of Mom and Baby.

Russell was born on 9/11 at 3lbs., 3oz. and will be spending quite a bit of time in the NICU. His bilirubin was high, so he has been/will be continuing phototherapy. Along with that, he is on tube feedings and has a breathing tube. At the moment, nobody besides Mom and Dad are allowed in the NICU.

Serenity’s Short Term Disability only covers 6 weeks, which will leave an unexpected 11 weeks not covered. She is driving back and forth from home to the hospital a minimum of 2x/day to assist with care and bring milk for Russell. At this point, there is no time during the day she will be able to go back to work.

With the unexpected loss of income, and the growing cost of medical bills, our goal is to reach $2,500 that Serenity and Matt can put towards medical bills throughout Russell’s stay in the NICU. It is going to be a long journey for them and we want 100% of their focus to be on Russell, and not worry about the financial burden this will cause.

Mom and Dad can’t wait to hold Russell and for Russell to meet all of his family and friends. We greatly appreciate any support given!
