Bladder Cancer Research

There are 75,000 new cases of Bladder Cancer diagnosed annually in the US with 15,000 dieing annually from this disease. Bladder Cancer is the 6th most common cancer in men and women and the 3rd or 4th amongst men. Bladder Cancer research is terribly underfunded as other cancers (Breast, Prostate, Lung) are more highly recognied and funded. Monies raised by the Howard Cohen Bladder Cancer Foundation ($95,000 to date) will go directly to the UW Medicine's Baldder Cancer Research under the direction of Jonathan Wright, MD.

To date, the ability of our foundation (the Howard J Cohen Bladder Cancer Foundation) to leverage the web and make engagement with our foundation accessible to the worldwide community has been limited by an outdated and very limited website.  We're taking the leap to build a new website that will have a MAJOR impact on our fundraising by creating more awareness of our cause as well as providing many new ways to engage in our efforts, including: donation matching programs, a memorial wall to honor bladder cancer victims and offer support to their families, allocated giving, planned giving, donation of goods and services, and workplace donation matching to name a few.
