Black Student Black Doctor

Hello everyone!

In wake of what’s happening in the world, God has blessed me to graduate with my associate’s degree in Biology AND get accepted into a university to
continue on to earn my bachelor’s this fall. 

It broke my heart when I first heard about the
mistreatment and negligence Black women face in hospitals, due to the stigma that they don’t
experience pain to the extremity of their
counterparts. As a Black woman who plans to
someday have a family, I wouldn’t want to
experience this nor want a loved one to experience this.

So, this inspired me to go to medical school with
interest of becoming a physician in the  OB/GYN
field, upon completion of my degree. I chose this
career path so I can be a ‘familiar’ face (and liaison)for women of color who enter a hospital/clinic
(especially once I open my own medical practice ).

With my college’s graduation being postponed, I
would be appreciative of your donation
(investment in my education, as I’ll call it) to
celebrate my accomplishments and help with my
transition to university.
