The Summer Street Music Series* is coordinating our first "Black Musicians Matter" benefit concert on August 26th at Denny Park on Main Street in Bradford, Vermont. Each participating artist embodies the gorgeous, the vibrant and the Real in their own vital way. Come celebrate them with us!!
ALL proceeds will go directly to the featured musicians:
Femmecee: Golden Mystique
Join us between 5 and 8 pm on August 26th for a joyful evening of music, community, and connection with these luminous artists. Free food graciously provided by local vendor Bright Sun Kitchen.
And please give all you can in advance of the show here to support all the things necessary for these musicians need to make a living:
!! countless hours of rehearsal time and past training
!! ongoing professional development
!! instrument equipment costs
!! connectivity fees (i.e. phone, internet) for networking, organizing and promoting their work
!! transportation needs
!! all the other costs of living like food, clothing and housing
Together we will honor the full value of these creative jewels for the essential community and cultural services they provide us through their artistry!
*Since 2011, the Summer Street Music Series has brought bluegrass, folk, rock, reggae, hip hop, jazz, blues and much more to our community. Our family-friendly concerts are a cultural touchstone for Bradford, enriching the local community with quality live music accessible to all. The mission of the Summer Street Music Series is to support musicians in making a living through their art, and to Keep Music Alive.
