Black Market Green Post-Production Fundraiser

Hello!
My name is Stephen Chukumba, and I'm the executive producer of Black Market Green: The Whitewashing of the Marijuana Industry.
Black Market Green (BMG) is a feature-length documentary about the legalization of cannabis in New York State, and the fight for inclusion by Black and brown people in the billion dollar industry that will be created by its legalization.
The film features candid interviews with the legislation's sponsor, Crystal People-Stokes, NY City's Public Advocate, Jumaane Williams, Brookly Defenders Senior Attorney, Catherine Gonzalez, former gubernatorial candidate & actor, Cynthia Nixon, and a host of legacy dealers, formerly incarcerated and cannabis activists, who provide their perspectives and insights on the challenges in the fight for equitable inclusion.
We also examine the burgeoning industry organically developing around the law's passage, and the players vying for the few licenses available, and setting up shop to take advantage of the ancillary opportunities that the legalization of marijuana has created in New York.
We complete principle photography at the end of March, and then we're in the final stretch. Ukachi Arinzeh, the film's writer and director, will work to put the pieces together into what we believe is a compelling story, and one that we plan to submit for festival consideration in 2023.
Which brings me to my ask.
We need to raise $50,000 to get across the finish line.
We've poured all we have into the film to this point, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results.
But we both recognize how much further we could go with a little 'grease' as they say.
So we are asking all of you - our friends, to help us get there.
Please donate whatever you can, and share this with everyone you know.
Thank you!!
