Black female business owner lost business to fire

Donation protected

Our good friend, Sylvia Kyobe, built her business with blood, sweat, and tears and time, working nearly 24/7 to establish herself in the community.

As a Black, female-owned business, Ashley Beauty Supply, on 751 Howard Street, in Evanston has sadly burnt down on Tuesday morning, 7/26/2022, it has become a community staple where women and even men came for styling products and supplies,
Nine residents were displaced and the shop was gutted by fire and was completely lost to flames.

Sylvia hopes to rebuild her business and inventory and pleads for help from our community to rebuild bigger and better than ever.

We appreciate any support in any capacity you may have which will help Sylvia restart her business in these trying times.
