Black Business of the Month

Our organization has been developing a plan to celebrate the Negro League Centennial. As six socially conscious and proud Black American college students, we could not stand by and allow for the same racial injustices to continue in the Unites States without fighting back. Instead of fighting with fire, we decided to start a community-empowering initiative that will positively affect Black people in America. For the next 12 months, we plan to be hosting events and posting information on our Instagram platform (https://www.instagram.com/nlcc100/ )  informing others on various current subjects. These subjects include, but are not limited to, promotion of Black businesses, voting information, COVID relief for communities that have been extremely impacted, and scholarships for Black college students. Ultimately, we are trying to make a difference in our community and help others succeed in a society that wasn’t built for them to thrive. September is our month of boosting and celebrating Black businesses. We will be promoting Black businesses on our Instagram account and at the end of the month, there will be a vote open to the public on which Black business promoted during September should be named "Black Business of the Month". The winner of "Black Business of the Month" will get all the money donated to this gofundme to invest in their business. Please help us in supporting Black businesses financially!
