Save Scooby’s heart

I always say that this dog saved my life and now it’s time I save his heart❤️ Earlier this week Scooby began coughing excessively and was having a hard time breathing I had to take him to a vet who after seeing fluid in his lungs and how enlarged his Heart was rushed me in to a emergency vet in Walnut Creek.  Devastatingly Scooby has been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy heart disease and  we’re still not sure what this means for him. What I do know is Scooby will be on medication for the rest of his life he will need frequent visits to the vet and he will continue to need X-rays, ultra sounds and we will need a lot more testing. In recent studies this type of heart disease can be correlated to nutritional values/diet and deficiency in taurine so though we are hopeful his condition is very sever. DCM can also be degenerative so we’re most definitely not out of the woods yet. I am making this page because I want to get his taurine levels tested in order to further diagnose his condition which is very costly on top of the already piling up vet bills. I am in a bit over my head here and I know we have a tough road ahead but I want to do everything I can for my sweet boy. November 4th we have an check up appointment at the vet. I’m hoping to raise enough money by then for the taurine testing to further diagnose his condition and find the right treatment so he has the possibility to live a long and healthy life. The rest of the money raised here will help go to the $2000 dollar emergency vet bill and the future visits, medications, etc. We have a long way to go and it’s not going to be easy but just know anything helps me help him❤️
