Imagine being a 38yr old single parent of 3 kids enjoying every moment of watching your kids growing up and feeling strong and proud that you were able to venture off away from your family, while raising your kids alone and doing a damn good job at it. Only to find out that you have Stage 3 Colon Cancer.
From watching your son graduate high school and making plans for his future, to watching him tip toe around you and not wanting to leave your side, because he's afraid of losing you.
From watching your beautiful 13yr old daughter create tiktok videos & resin containers, to now watching her create resin cancer symbols, 2 of which belong to you. Knowing that you may not get to help walk her through some of the hardest & happiest times of her life. And knowing that you may never get to give her woman to woman advice as she continues to grow up.
Watching your 8yr old son and not knowing what to tell him, watching the concern in his eyes and hearing the fear in his voice as he ask you if you're ok. Knowing that you may never get to see him become that handsome man you've been working so hard to raise.
Imagine wishing you could see your family, but knowing you're physically too sick to endure a long flight and knowing your family can't afford to fly to you.
No parent ever wants to say goodbye and my friend Deanna does not want to leave her young kids motherless. But this is what she's been battling since her diagnosis 2 years ago. Not to mention having colon surgery, liver resection and countless visits to the hospital.
My strong friend is now Stage 4, terminally ill, and her treatment has been stopped because she's too weak and her body can't handle treatment. It would mean everything to her and her kids if we could all take a second to ask God for healing.
We are also kindly asking for any donation to help with the financial struggles she has been facing.
