Dom's Car

I'm on my way to college- I'm so excited! I've always dreamed of this moment in my life but never really imagined it coming true. Everything has been prepared and now the only thing left is transportation. I need a vehicle that I am able to drive that has adaptions that will allow me to be completely independent in transportation to both college and work. This vehicle will be a vital part of my life and will open more opportunities, as well as allow me to be more self-reliant. To make this happen I need help.
   

    Ten years ago, when I was seven, I was in a car accident that injured both my spine and brain, which left me paraplegic.  My mother and four year old sister were killed in the same car accident.  I continually defied the doctor's predictions and after ten months in the hospital I was able to return to school and utltimately to be a part of the graduating class of 2014.  I am excited to enter the next phase of my education and ready to embark on a life of greater indepedence.  I am planning to study medicine and want to become a doctor.  During my extensive hospitilization and subsequent surgeries I experienced firsthand how difficult medical treament can be for the patient.  That is why I want to become a doctor, so that I can ease this suffering for others.

    I have found a van that will be perfect!  It can be accomodated for my current needs.  To make it a reality I am asking for you to please consider donating.  I have already been blessed by an agency that will be paying for the total cost of the van conversion; however my family and I are responsible for the purchase of the van itself.  Thank you for your consideration!
