BJT Bronx Recovery Initiative

While the businesses within the BJT Bronx Commercial District were already struggling to cope with the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, many have now also been impacted by illegal break ins, damages, and looting during recent riots.
In order to better support the businesses on Burnside, Jerome, and Tremont Avenues in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx, the Davidson Community Center, Inc. has launched the BJT Bronx Recovery Initiative in partnership with the NYC Department of Small Business Services, Local Initiatives Services Corporation (LISC), and Bronx Community Board 5. This initiative will disburse funds to businesses who have encountered the greatest hardships due to these events. With your donations, businesses will be able to recover from damages and losses, make payments on rent and insurance, and purchase personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of the community during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
