Dear Friends and Family I need your help...
Lisa is unaware of my plan and I will tell her but I need to share this first.

It all started when Lisa was hit by a truck a few years ago. She was in the hospital for 14 days and home for just under 3 months. Her broken bones healed but what she didn’t know was that it would change her life and not in a direction that she would have ever thought. Lisa signed a "no sue" document after she found out that there wasn’t any alcohol or drugs involved and that it simply was an accident. She made it very clear that she would not ruin the life of a young man or his family. Lisa truly thought that this was her "pay it forward" and that she had medical insurance so she didn’t need to sue for any damages as she would heal and go on with life. Unfortunately, her medical insurance came back and would not pay her hospital bills since the incident was not her fault and was deemed a traffic accident. Once again Lisa smiled through it and kept to her convictions. She made the arrangements and moved on. Before this accident Lisa was 100% independent. THAT IS NOT THE CASE TODAY. Six months after the accident she noticed a huge change in her muscle control and physical strength. Soon after, Lisa was laid off permanently from her position at Galaxy Theatres where she had worked for a little over 10 years. This was heartbreaking for her but at the same time it was getting harder to keep up with the traveling and driving. Due to finances Lisa and Dale decided that moving would be best. The house they lived in was PERFECT for someone in a wheelchair but they just couldn’t keep it. They moved to Escalon so that Lisa could be close to her friends and family. A few months later Lisa's husband Dale was diagnosed with Melanoma Stage 3 which kept him from working for the next year and a half. That was probably the first time I had ever seen my beautiful friend start to lose hope. Everything they had worked for was slowly being taken away and Lisa began to weaken and was no longer the independent woman we had always knew and loved. She could no longer drive which was one of her accomplishments in life. Lisa's husband went through the chemo and fought the cancer and was finally able to go back to work only to find out he no longer had a job. He finally found employment but to his dismay had to start at the bottom at age 41. Lisa and Dale did not give up. They believed it would all get better. They both knew it was going to be a struggle to get out of the financial hole that illness had put them in and they were determined to figure it out. A year went by and Dale began to notice pain in his legs and feet and extreme pain in his hand and elbows. He returned to the doctor only to find out that he had a tumor on his leg and one on his foot. The pain in his hands and elbows is nerve damage so he is currently home and has been for the last 5 months awaiting surgeries. Things have been so difficult for them and they just can’t catch up. They are once again moving because they can no longer afford to live in their home. They were lucky to find a smaller house that fits their budget better. I don’t know about you but it breaks my heart to continue to see this family struggle and struggle. I want you to close your eyes and try to remember the last time you saw my sweet and lovely friend. I bet she was smiling. It amazes me and inspires me to see someone continue to fight and never give up. I talk to Lisa just about every day and I think it is time to share this struggle with all of you. Through Facebook we have all been able to help so many. I have watched Lisa get involved with charities and fundraisers etc etc and even give her last dollar to help in any way she can. I truly believe it is her turn now to be on the receiving end. I love this family with all of my heart and I want to relieve them of this financial strain that they have been burdened with for so long. Most of us take for granted the fact that we open bill pay and click a button and pay our bills. Lisa and Dale haven’t been able to do this for almost two years. Everything they have goes to their son John. Lisa and Dale go without.
I know that if we all rally together and help we can get them on track. To this day Lisa keeps saying good Karma is going to come back to me. I know it. She continues to look on the bright side and prays every day that something good with come her way. Please reach into your hearts and send this family a little something. Their address until the end of the month is:
