MANUEL'S MEDICAL EXPENSES

Just over a year ago our brother Manuel Mariel was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Ulcerative Colitis is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that affects the lining of the large intestine and rectum. Crohn's disease is a related condition. Manuel has been on medication since his diagnosis but recently took a turn for the worse and has been out of work for three months now. We have been to multiple doctors and hospitals to help get him back to good and normal health where he has been prescribed a range of stronger and stronger medications, all with little to no success at treating his illness. Today he was able to see a doctor at the UT Southwestern Medical Center with extensive experience in handling patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases and was scheduled to receive a biological infusion, Remicade, treatment. These treatments, and the related medication and hospital bills Manuel will have to continue taking, are incredibly expensive and not covered by his insurance policy. We are asking for your assistance in donating any amount you can to help this wonderful brother of ours get back on the path to health.

Manuel and his twin brother Esteban are founders of a local Dallas business called City Futsal that works to develop young soccer players and athletes. Manuel is widely loved by his students and their families and is anxious to get back to his life work of helping young people achieve their goals on and off of the field.
