Bishop Pelletier Memorial School Fund
Donation protected
On June 4th, 2022, a vehicle tragically struck Bishop Donald L. Pelletier, MS., while crossing Rte. 4A in front of the North House here at the Shrine. Bishop Donald had been a La Salette Missionary working in Madagascar for 63 years prior to the accident. Our goal of $20,000.00 will build a school in Madagascar honoring his name. Fr. Jeremy Morais, a Canadian La Salette priest who worked for years with Bishop Donald, will build the school at Andika sur Mer, a beautiful fishing village on the shore of the Mozambique Channel across from Africa. If the funds raised exceed the amount needed to build the school, a foundation would be set up with the La Salette Mission Office in St. Louis to manage that money for operating costs, teacher salaries, and other expenses occured with running a school. Your contributions will significantly impact the poverty-stricken people and their nation.
