Maximus's Vetiranary fees

Hi guys, my name is Simone and I live in Geelong, Vic, I am raising money for my dog Maximus who is a 8yo German Sheperd
Maximus came to me after he was living in a home where he was no longer the apple of his owners eyes after they had their 1st baby. Maximus was cast outside and living on a run where shelter and human connection was at a bare minimal.
I asked them to hhand him over so he could find a home where he could live the happiest and fullest life he truly deserves. After a very honest and harsh conversation I told them that I would call the RSPCA to investigate this if they couldn't see that Maximus was indeed neglected and very depressed at his new" fraction" of the life that was.
So Maximus came to me so i could find him a home and it was aparant that he had been dealt such a cruel twist of fate that he was becoming aggressive and that he wanted no part of it when he snapped at potential adoptees .
Maximus was very weary of people and was at times showing aggression towards myself and my partner also..
2 months had passed with not much change and sadly Maximus did his cruciate ligament and it all became crazy as he was not able to just to the vet as his life had only nade him untrusting and to get to a vet required heavy sedation and forceful injections for xrays which only added to his fear of people .
So during his recovery period of 14 weeks he was with me and i spent every night by his side playing meditation music, singing to him and slowly 9f the course of 8 weeks we began to really build on a friendship that now is truly unbreakable.
Maximus is my 2nd big dog in my home and we are so damn happy that he is here living a happy life.
This year has been hard for everyone and I have ceased work due to covid19 and my partner only recently became a statistic of the Victorian craziness .
Maximus it seems has done something to the same leg and we now face veterinary fees tomorrow for xrays, pre appointment sedation meds and what ever else he needs if he has damaged the plate or rods in his leg and we are financially at a critical time and this has been
I have tried to post a fund raiser and FB has not approved it as they've asked for mire info on me that has been filled out 7 times without prevail..
I really do need help and that for me is hard to say as i usually am fund raising and assisting owners rehome their dogs ,to date i have rehomed 32 dogs. So the tables have turned so i hope i canraise the $850 through the kindness, generosity and compassion of the community.
PLEASE if you can help us you would make Maximus"s life and ours less stressful and I would be eternally grateful..
