Billy's Brave Battle

Hello!! My name is Shannon. On June 25th. 2020 my dear friends Chris and Norma Dodd had one of their children admitted to Children's Hospital in Vancouver.
Billy is a sweet young 7 y ear old boy whose bone marrow has stopped working. He is no longer producing the blood products needed for basic survival.
The doctors at one of the best hospitals I have ever known haven't been able to come up with a firm diagnosis as to why this is happening.
Due to his condition, Billys parents and his younger sister are having to uproot their whole lives and temporarily relocate to the mainland to Vancouver as Billy needs constant check ups, blood tests, and infusions of blood products/platelets. He has started immunosuppressant therapy in the hopes that it will help the situation as a bone marrow transplant match so far has not been found. This therapy is not a pleasant experience and has intense side effects and extra care needs to be taken with Billy's health at this time.
It is not 100 percent clear how long they will be at the hospital for as we are just told "months".
As anyone can imagine this is any parents worst nightmare and the costs of relocating across the ocean have been piling up. Chris is the current breadwinner of the family and with the whole group staying in one room , working remotely is extremely difficult and juggling all of the appointments, to and from the hospital is a challenge so work is having to take a backseat at times.
We are all trying to keep a strong face and strong prayers for this family They have always done everything they can for my family and anyone else I know.They are always there when anyone calls no matter what without hesitation.
I have always believed it takes a village to raise a family and no one should ever go through life challenges alone so
The funds created from this campaign will go to the family's emergency living expenses and help the family be together in this difficult time which is even more complicated with Covid. Even if you can't donate, please share and say a prayer for this brave young boy Billy, and his family Chris, Norma, and Olivia.

First I want to say a HUGE thank you SO much to everyone who has donated or pitched in in other ways by sharing the link ,helping out with errands, animal care, and general support. It means so much that they are so loved by their community but we are not home free just yet!!
Billys blood levels are rising but there is still a ways to go. He can't come home just yet but we are hopeful that today may be one of his last transfusions. Until he gets the all ok from the docs, the family will stay in Vancouver at Childrens so they can be together during this difficult time. I pray they are home before Christmas!!
Any help is greatly appreciated. Pray for Billy and his family for a speedy recovery and thank you so much for continuing to share this fundraiser and donating. Every dollar helps with all of the extra expenses that come from relocating and the extra care they need. You are all amazing.
