BIKE PROJECT for the children of Puvirnituq!
Hello We are Shina and Caroline Novalinga! We are originally from Puvirnituq based in Montreal.
When we heard the recent news of the remains of thousands of children being found at the former Residential Schools, we knew it was a time to grieve and to also give back to our children. Children deserve a happy childhood!!!!! This summer we want to give back to the children of our community located in Puvirnituq, Qc.
We want to provide bikes to promote physical and mental well-being. Our communities are small and the only gym will be closed for the summer.
Families often can't afford new bikes for their children because shipping bikes up north is so costly! So we want to surprise them with new bikes this summer with your help.
Our goal is to provide as many new bikes as we can as soon as possible to children between the age of 5-20.

Update about the withdrawal and delivery plan:
Because we raised a lot more than we expected, we will be donating to each community in Nunavik. We will be contacting municipalities from each community (14 of them) in Nunavik. Each municipality has a recreational department that will take care of the funds that we will give by check which will then be used to purchase bikes for the children of the community. All funds will be donated.
