Please allow a moment of you time to introduce a ver special family to many of us . Meet the Lien family: Big Dog Fletcher, Shelley, Willie, and Natalie. Many of you reading this already know what a special family they are. Every one of them has been some of the first people to step up and lend a helping hand when we needed support. I know a lot of us has been lucky enough to benefit from the healing properties of Shelly's famous soup! Fletcher and Willie have always been there to help us when we've needed a few extra muscles and Natalie, sweet, beautiful Natalie always has a smile and sweet words for everyone. As many of you know Fletcher was diagnosed with prostate cancer this past December, a heartbreaking Christmas gift no one wants. Cancer is such a scary word, its a word we all hope never touches our loved ones. Most of us don't understand what a big word it really is. For those of you who are not familiar with cancer, it is hard to imagine the financial burden it places on a family. Even after a deductible is met most insurance companies do not cover all the expenses. Beyond that, they do not cover things like lost wages, the mileage to treatment 5 days/ week,and the seemingly millions of appts. For the Lien family this is very real. Speaking from experience, it is painful and scary to have to go through with alone. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could make sure that Shelly could sit with Fletcher so they can be together during this time. I can not begin to tell you how nice it is to have someone with you holding your hand to soothe you and fight the ugly battle with you. It means everything! So, to conclude, please help us help Big Dog and the rest of the gang. Let them know that, as a community we are on their side!
