Big Matty Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Kim McPhail - my husband, Gordon McPhail, and I own AreYouGame Conditioning Club where Big Matty was a long-standing member. As you may know, Matty passed unexpectedly at LakeRidge Health Oshawa on Wednesday, January 17th. He was just 49.

Matt Anderson, was a pillar of our gym community, but also the best friend you could ever ask for. He was a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a father. He was someone who would take the shirt off his back for anyone in need. The type of guy that made you feel like you were the star of the show whenever you were around him. He always made the room more fun and was the most genuine human being we know.

Above all, Matty loved his family. His wife, Theresa, and his three children are now left planning his end-of-life arrangements, and moving forward without the one man who would have been able to put them on his back and carry them through this.

We would like to lessen the burden on his family, and many have been asking how they can help. We are creating this Fund to help cover the Celebration of Life expenses, cover any outstanding expenses, and the remainder to create a fund to help support the family that he leaves behind. Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help.
