BIG Fundraiser For Part Time Employees

This fundraiser is for part-time employees of the Baltimore Improv Group (BIG).
These are BIG's teachers, our house managers, our techs and our YAMD and private event instructors. Every dollar of funds raised will go directly to these individuals in order to provide them with the money they would have earned from BIG in March and April had the corona crisis not required BIG to shutter all on-site activities. Please note that funds raised from this effort will not go to salaried staff with the exception of BIG's Facilities Manager, Richard Gorelick who earns most of his BIG related income from hourly work.
The amount needed in order to achieve our goals for this fundraiser is $15,592. However, we have a great headstart thanks to Facilities Manager Richard Gorelick and Board Member Jeffrey Richardson independently raising $3,500 already. For that reason, our listed goal is only $12,092.
If we hit our goal then every participating employee will receive their estimated average pay for half of March, All of April and all of May!
Each part-time employee has been contacted by BIG to gauge how much income has been lost. For some, the effects have been minimal and for that reason, they have selected not to receive support from this fundraiser. For others, working as a teacher, instructor or house staff for BIG represented a substantial portion of their total income. All contacted parties, however, have supported the idea of this fundraiser. For that reason, in a statement of solidarity, all of BIG's part-time employees are listed below. A donation to this campaign is a donation to support the values and concerns of all of the below:
