Big C Little Warrior - Sheffield Half Marathon

Do you want to join me in making a difference? Most years I run the Sheffield Half Marathon to raise money for charity.  This year, I'm raising money for the first time in aid of new charity: Big C Little Warrior, and every donation will help!

Big C Little Warrior boosts confidence and esteem by providing free beauty and grooming treatments to anyone undergoing treatment for cancer. They are a small caring charity that is based in South Yorkshire; working in hospitals, homes and hospices in the surrounding area.

Big C Little Warrior was established in 2019 following the tragic death of Doncaster lass Laura Powell, to brain cancer.  Throughout the years of her battle with cancer, Laura was always quick to think of and care for others, and to raise money for local charities who helped her and her family.  She also enjoyed giving and receiving beauty treatments, and had begun to make plans with her mum to set up their own business.  Laura made a big impact in her short life, and her family set up Big C Little Warrior as part of her legacy, to continue her charity work by offering free beauty treatments and massage to fellow cancer patients.

Cancer is already costly in so many ways, so we want to offer this opportunity for some rare pampering and pleasure at no cost.  Which is where our fundraising comes in!  Please give generously to help us get going, and bring a little bit of Laura's care and sparkle into the lives of people going through a gruelling ordeal.
