Big Buddah's Surgery Expenses

In 2010 I brought home the best friend I've ever had. People always say that their dog is the best, but if you've met Buddah you know how special he is. He has saved my life more times than I can count and he truly is the best dog ever. On Tuesday, September 12, Buddah started getting really sick, vomiting, dry heaving, pacing, and his stomach was very bloated. I took him to the vet and got the worst diagnosis possible. Buddah had GDV, which is where the stomach literally flips and twists around itself. This is one of the worst things that can happen to a large dog and it can be deadly within an hour of the onset of symptoms. He needed immediate major surgery. Since we've had no power from Hurricane Irma we have been staying at my parents' house, and luckily my mom was with me because I was an absolute mess. Buddah pulled through the 5 hours of surgery, but that was just the beginning. Since then we have been transferring him back and forth from the vet to an emergency clinic to stay overnight and be monitored. At first he was doing well, but as of last night he has developed a heart arrhythmia called VPC. We're now going to have to bring him to a specialist in Maitland so he can be on an EKG constantly. My family has been extremely supportive. As you can imagine, the vet bills are piling up. I'm blessed and grateful to have so many people that love my dog. I am willing to do whatever it takes for him, and I'm asking for help to cover some costs.
