Mi nombre es Ana Félix, vivo en ciudad Juárez Chihuahua, México, una ciudad donde hay más de 200 mil perros en abandono total en las calles.
Inicié como rescatista independiente hace 6 años. Empezé ayudando a un perro; lo curaba, lo ayudaba a que fuera sociable. Lo llevé a la veterinaria por sus vacunas y esterilización, para después encontrar un buen hogar y familia responsable que pudiera cuidar de él.
Conforme pasaba el tiempo, a pasos agigantados empezó a subir el número en perros rescatados; todo esto con la finalidad de ayudarlos y salvarlos de una muerte lenta y segura.
Conocí tantas enfermedades que puede tener un perro.
He podido salvar a más de 1,500 perros a lo largo de 6 años.
El año pasado me vi en la necesidad de buscar un terreno, ya que no tenía espacios o donde tener mis rescates. El día de hoy, es un refugio que alberga 140 perros. Está ubicado en las orillas de la ciudad. Hay mucha necesidad de ayuda.
Soy rescatista independiente y mi bolsillo ya está vacío. Estos perros necesitan de tu ayuda para poder salir adelante. Necesitan ser esterilizados, vacunados y sus medicinas y todo ésto es caro. El refugio también necesita acondicionamiento para tener lo mejor posible a nuestros amigos de 4 patas.
Quiero tocar tu corazón y pedirte que nos apoyes.
Necesitamos mucho alimento, accesorios, casitas, camas, material de construcción para hacer jaulas para que los perros puedan vivir tranquilos, láminas, malla ciclónica, cemento, varilla, block, plantar árboles.

Rescatar, rehabilitar, curar, sanar, cuidar no es nada fácil. Después que el perro está sano, trato de buscarles un hogar. Aunque es difícil en mi ciudad que las personas adopten a un perro rescatado de la calle.
El trabajo es duro pero aún así no pierdo las esperanzas de tener un lugar digno para continuar con mi labor de rescate.

My name is Ana Félix. I live in Cd. Juárez, México. A city where there are more than 200 thousand stray dogs.
Six years ago, I rescued a stray dog and took him to the vet’s office to get treated and for his vaccinations and I rehabilitated him so he could be adoptable. He was adopted by a loving and responsible family.
As time went by, the dogs that I rescued started to grow in large numbers; all because I wanted to save them from a certain and slow death.
I got to learn about so many illnesses that I dog can get.
I have been able to save more than 1,500 stray dogs in six years.
Last year I was able to find a place to start a dog shelter. Today there are a total 140 dogs in this shelter, located in the outskirts of the city. There are a lot of things that are needed for this place so the rescued dogs can live comfortable there while they are adopted.
I am an independent rescuer and I’m out of money. All these dogs need your help to go forward. Veterinarian costs are high and all dogs need to get spayed and neutered and they need their vaccines and medication. I want to touch your heart and I want to ask you for your support. We also need lots of dog food, dog beds, dog houses, construction materials, trees, etc.

To rescue, to rehabilitate, to cure, and to take care of the dogs is no easy task.
Even though is not easy in my city to find people to adopt a stray dog, after the dogs are healthy I try to find a loving home for them.
This work is hard but I am hopeful that one day I will be able to have a dog shelter that has everything that the dogs need so I can continue with my rescuing effort.
