Playground Project

Hello, we are attempting to construct a new playground for the Sujith Pre School

(சுஜித் முன்பள்ளி) in Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka. This is the primary preschool in the little town of Rethinapuram. The "Playground" at this preschool needs our immediate

attention due to visible damage to the slide and other equipment. We all looked

forward to going to the playground as children, as it was an important aspect of

many of our childhoods. The playground was built on uneven terrain and

beside a coconut tree whose roots have grown throughout the playground,

making it a dangerous place for young kids to run around.The preschool's prior

playground was created many years ago and is now barely standing on its own.

The seesaw's hinges are broken, the slide isn't securely supported, and there are

cracks and bolts protruding from it, making it dangerous for children to use. The

sides of the preschool have snake nests all around them, making the children feel uneasy about going to school, and we want the children to feel happy and safe

while they are there. We would greatly appreciate any support we could get. For
