Nikki's campaign for Hospice Wellington

More information about Hospice Wellington: To provide and promote hospice palliative care for individuals and their families.

It was brought to my attention that Pat Stuart, Director of Care had to make the impossible decision to close the Hospice doors to patients families due to the Covid19 pandemic. Under the extreme circumstances she does not have the man power to care for the people who are at Hospice if any of her full time staff    gets sick. 

My bleeding heart would love to help those in need of palliative care at Wellington Hospice , along with their families and the staff by raising enough money to buy a minimum of 5 iPads ( 5 patients are very close to the end of their journey), up to 11 iPads (one for each room and one for backup) The idea is to connect families virtually since they cannot be there in person. 

Can you please help me, help Wellington Hospice by donating money or IPads, or Tablets new or used to help keep families connected during this tough time ? 

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Pat Stuart, Director of Hospice Wellington. She has informed me that we have surpassed our goal of 11 iPads - 7 were directly dropped off by an anonymous donor along with many other IPads and tablets both collected within the community and dropped off directly to Hospice Wellington. I am beyond grateful that they can now keep families and their loved ones connected via virtual means while their doors to the public are closed. Pat has been open and honest that she is taking it day by day - we can only hope that the doors can be opened again soon. Now that we have accomplished our goal (actually , exceeded) Pat is using the funds raised from this campaign to update their 10 year old patient room TVs with smart TVs. This will a) be another tool for connecting families 
b) offer more streaming capabilities 
c) offer a broader range of television shows
