Joni's Journey

This year Joni (Bushika) Dunn celebrated being breast cancer free for 17 years. This past month she went for a routine check up where a blood test was ordered and her pancreatic levels were alarmingly high. After further testing and a biopsy, we found out that she will be facing another battle, this time with pancreatic cancer.
The first words out of my mom's mouth when we found out that the chances of her having this cancer was a great possibility she said, "Here we go again!" Joni is a fighter, who has strapped on her gloves and rang the bell to defeat yet another battle.
Joni is scheduled for surgery on July 31st where she will then stay for 5-7 days and then a recovery period of 6-8 weeks. After surgery she will begin Chemotherapy treatments. Since she hasn’t been at her job long enough, she has limited benefits. This is set up to help her with travel expenses, help provide meals, stay on top of bills so she can focus only on giving all she's got to this fight and beat this cancer.
Here you will also find updates on Joni's Journey. We thank you in advance for any and all help. <3
